Great scholarship opportunity: GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program

Second-year undergraduate students will be awarded in the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program at five selected Hungarian universities (see www.scholarshipandmore.org) in the fields of economics, management, engineering and technology.

The award:

– an 1500 Euro annual scholarship for two years (total of 3000 Euros)
– the opportunity to participate in activities including a 3-day seminar on leadership (Leadership Development Program)
– a work shadowing possibility with GE in Hungary

Pályázni lehet műszaki, természettudományi, környezetvédelmi, informatikai, valamint matematikai területről bármilyen innovatív alkotással, találmánnyal, kutató vagy fejlesztő, ill. tudományos munka eredményével. A versenyen bármilyen egyéb versenyre vagy pályázatra készített pályamunkával, ill. műszaki alkotással is részt lehet venni.

The School of Slavonic and East European Studies, UCL, agrees to accept a Hungarian Senior Visiting Fellow, post-doctoral level, for the pursuit of a three month research project from 1st March 2011. The field of research should be in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The SSEES, UCL, will provide professional guidance and access to facilities required for the successful completion of the research project. A professional committee of the Hungarian Scholarship Board in collaboration with experts appointed by the SSEES, UCL, will preselect applications. Short-listed applicants will be interviewed and the successful Visiting Fellow will be chosen on the merit of his/her professional credentials, English language skills, and the quality and appropriateness of the project in the context of the SSEES research environment. The Balassi Institute will pay the sum of GBP 5100 provided by the Ministry of National Resources of the Republic of Hungary for the full period of the research scholarship to the successful candidate, including a set contribution to travel costs between the UK and Hungary. At the same time, the SSEES, UCL, will provide the successful candidate with information in order to help him/her find suitable accommodation.
