A bit about the Team:
Production is a team of creative professionals; working together to ensure the entire production process is run seamlessly. It’s incredibly diverse, built up of several departments ranging from Studio, Sample Handling, Image Editing, Copy Writing and Production itself. It’s a very busy, very exciting area to be a part of, requiring constant communication between the team, and all the other areas of the business.
The Catwalk Videographer will be required to film, edit and upload catwalk/video imagery of all relevant product that has been model shot by the studio team. This imagery will be filmed by you in the best way possible to ensure that the customer can see the product to its best advantage and encourage them to purchase the product.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work with the videography team to film all products on models that require a catwalk video. Edit these and upload using software and within deadline.
Art direct the models to ensure their walks are as best as can be, and give advice where necessary to strengthen the models walk. Work with the model booking team to ensure you gain advice around this and can feedback where necessary.
Ensure the product is filmed in the absolute best way possible so that the customer is able to gather as much information from the clip to encourage them to buy the product.
Constantly strive to develop the quality and efficiency of the catwalk clips, ensuring Axxx.xxm remains as the leader in online fashion
Develop a strong relationship with the studios to ensure the shoot flow is efficient and productive
Ensure the quality of all catwalks through attention to detail – ensure nothing disrupts the quality of the clip (for example, labels hanging out of clothing, shoes too small for model, etc)
Ensure all catwalks are correctly coded and uploaded
Provide technical advice and guidance where necessary
Manage the Catwalk playlist ensuring appropriate music for model catwalks at all times
Assist in the creation of video content for the production department and company wide. Contribute ideas and see these through to completion
Assist in the design and development of any structural catwalk changes
What Success Looks Like:
Delivery of the best possible catwalk imagery in the e-commerce industry within deadline
At entry level, you will be able to film, edit and upload imagery and offer advice to models on ways to better their catwalks where necessary with the aim of improving the clip.
At exit level, you will confidently deliver the above to the highest standard possible, and also contribute creatively to creative videos within and external to the production department. You will be proactive with reviewing the competition and suggesting new ways of filming and new ways to improve process to drive efficiency. You will see these through to completion on deadline.
Skills and experience you will need:
Previous e-commerce fashion video experience desirable but not essential.
Experience with working with models in a catwalk vicinity
Experience with XHTML, HTML and JAVA Script
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Cinema Tools and Mpeg Streamclip, Final Cut Pro, XML, Macromedia Flash and Action Script, Flash Video/ Streaming video
Use of various FTP software
Experience with Microsoft OFFICE
Exceptional attention to detail to product on and off set.
Confident communicator with all levels of management and experience giving art direction preferred.
Team work is key and communicating effectively with the Production team and the wider business is essential.
You must be commercially aware and have a strong understanding of the fashion industry and the ASOS customer in particular
