The Consumer devices product development team is responsible for developing industry leading apps on variety of platforms and devices.    The Automation Engineer intern is responsible for providing QA automation support to the Consumer devices development operations team.

As a member of the Consumer Devices product development team and reporting to the Sr. Manager, the successful candidate will learn and understand the automation on iOS and Android platforms.  This includes the product features and functionality as well as and the underlying technical components.  The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated and proactive, and be a team player.  The candidate must have strong technical and analytical skills and a passion for learning new tools and technologies.- Research and explore automation tools
– Design and implement automated test scripts
– Integrate the test scripts with build process
– Interact with development leads to ensure that automation tools can interact with development code
– Execute test plans
– Report software defects
– Verify software defect fixes from development

Candidate Requirements:
– An understanding of Web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
– Experience with programming languages like PHP, Java, Python or Ruby.
– Have good understanding on mobile applications development
– Basic knowledge of software automation
– Ability to work on diverse projects simultaneously, developing creative and practical solutions.
– Willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
– Strong communication skills and attention to detail
